A Good Thing We've Got Forever

Recommend

The sun was bleeding color, staining the sky and the water with vibrantly beautiful colors, causing the white sands to stand out in contrast. The fine, warm sand felt like velvet beneath their bare feet and the salty breeze caressed their golden skin.

She laughed with a trill and held up the skirt of her satiny summer dress as she ran closer to the waves, playing chicken with the ocean water that was as warm as a bath. She pointed her daisy-painted toes as she pirouetted ankle-deep in the ocean as her golden lioness' mane of hair flew out around her.

"Baby, come on!" She called out, her forest green eyes flashing to the tall dark-haired boy further back on the beach.

He bent over to roll the hems of his blue jeans up to his knees. "I'm hurrying! Geez, Firefly, I thought we were just going for a walk on the beach, not a swim."

"What is a walk on the beach if your toes don't touch the water?" She asked, dramatically dancing through the shallow water to prove her point.

HopelessSongbird This is probably the most sappy, fluffy piece of writing I have ever written and I'm somewhere between unabashedly proud of it and mildly ashamed that something so romantic could come out of my brain.

A boy, a girl, and the beach. Who can resist dancing and prancing around in the waters of the ocean? I know I can't.
