A Glossary of Forgotten Species

Recommend

The Glossary of Forgotten Species was first published in 2127 by the now defunct (presumed eaten) Dr Cornelius Amadeus Pinch, as a response to the increasingly distressing inter-stellar cries of "what the bloody hell is that!?"

Now in it's 16th edition it remains as useful as when first released — if only because it's so huge you can beat an attacking beasty over the head with it (if it has one) until it stops moving, and then look it up to see what you've just murdered!

Its extensive and wholly comprehensive listings of all things wide and wonderful in our baffling universe is nothing short of, well, improbable... but there you are.

Thank you for your shrewd purchase.

Author guidance for This story

DrPinch This fictional guidebook is narrated and annotated by Dr Pinch, an aging English gent in the mould of a 22nd century Charles Darwin meets Dr Who. He is never to be seen without his tweed jacket, comfortable shoes and holographic bow-tie.

As it is a glossary I wanted the new chapters to follow alphabetically, where possible, but if you fancy a go and have an idea, just go for it.
