Spook gaped at the email on her computer screen, mouth agape and eyes wide as dinner plate. She was curled on her bed in her small cubicle and had been happily breezing through her emails. Then... this!
"So," she said to herself, stroking her chin and barely resisting the urge to tug at her newly-pierced ears. "So this is how it is..."
A small dark figure peeped around Spook's door: "What are you up to?" she asked.
Spook didn't reply, but continued stroking her chin. The small girl raised an eyebrow.
"You look like you're up to something." she said. "Come on, out with it, what are you up to."
"She's coming." said Spook. "She's coming Pip."
Pip looked confused, "Who's coming?"
Spook laughed, flopping back on the bed in fits of hysterics. Pip backed away, worried for what was left of Spook's little sanity. When Pip had left the room, Spook simply rolled onto her stomach, almost falling off the bed in her giggle fit. Finally, tears streaming down her face, Spook lurched upright, hair in utter disarray.
"So we'll meet at last, Delorfinde," she said to herself. "This is going to be good. Watch out world."
