Youth

Sometimes how relationships can be particularly when growing up.

When you're young you really never know

what lifes gunna throw at you.

You take it as comes to enjoy the highs

and you just take the lows.

Spending money like it grows on trees

on shoes and clothes and flat screen TVs.

Going out and getting drunk,

hanging in the park till your fingers freeze.

That's how it should be,

that's how it's always been,

and why can't you see,

that you're never gunna win.

Then one night you get yourself a boyfriend,

or maybe a girlfriend too.

And you hang out and get drunk and have sex,

enjoy the moment with no need to offend.

Next morning you get home and talk to your people,

they ask what you've done.

You try to hide and you try to lie,

ommiting how he threaded your needle.

They don't believe you,

they ask you questions,

they know you have the answers.

They get angry,

they throw you out,

they say you've been sleeping about.

You know it's not true,

what they say about you.

It's only one,

the only one,

and when you're young,

you gunna have fun.

and you say:

That's how it should be,

that's how it's always been,

and why can't you see,

that you're never gunna win.

The End
