Your Worth is Divine

No matter how small or insignificant we may feel, we are divine.

A lonely little star,

Way up in the sky,

Thought he was nothing,

So he said with a sigh.

“What difference do I make?

I’m only a small star.

What could I ever do

To get very far?”

A lonely little girl

Way down on the ground

Thought she was nothing

Or so she said with a frown.

“What difference do I make?

I’m only a small girl.

What could I ever do

To touch the whole world?”

But one wiser than all

Looking down from above

Thinks they are something

So he said with love.

“You are mine, oh,

More precious than gold.

Please come unto me

And your life I will mold.

A difference you’ll make

When you understand

Your worth is divine

You were made by my hand.”
