Your Games

It's all about love falling apart

I'm looking for reasons to leave

As the walls close in and I struggle to breathe

To see what I've seen, maybe you'll understand

My heart grows colder in the palm of your hand

I tried to fight this world alone

But repressed, obsessed I'm just another victim

A light in my eyes dimming to darkness

I'm swimming against the tide and I'm sick of it

Shattered, a thousand pieces

My skin decays, melts away

I've never felt so defeated

I've searched everywhere for an answer

I've looked inside for some sort of hope

But I know to love is never enough to live

Romance hangs from the end of a rope

I always tried to carry your burdens

The bones inside me breaking under the pressure

If only I had the will to make it all work

Memories of all that I am lay smashed and broken

I tried to fight this world alone

But repressed, obsessed I've never known serenity

The skin on my knees scraping away, slaving away

Struggling against the heavens, defiant hopelessly

Shattered, a thousand pieces

My skin decays, melts away

I've never felt so defeated

I've searched everywhere for an answer

I've looked inside for some sort of hope

But I know to love is never enough to live

Romance hangs from the end of a rope

Set your own games into place

And one day I'll forget your face

It won't be long til I surrender

The white flag, bloodied red

I'm a witness to my own end

Shattered, a thousand pieces

My skin decays, melts away

I've never felt so defeated

I've searched everywhere for an answer

I've looked inside for some sort of hope

But I know to love is never enough to live

Romance hangs from the end of a rope

The End
