You Wasn't There

It's been a while since I posted on here.

I never thought you was a bad Father
I always believed I could have been a better son
It’s true I resented you, I still do
maybe if you had made the effort
I wouldn’t feel so alone in this life

When you left us
did you think of me even once
or was I just a passing memory?

There were times I needed you
but you wasn’t there

As the years went by without a second glance
you became the stranger in my home
You was never proud of the person I became
because you were never around
until one day, I stopped waiting

When you left us
did you even think of coming back?
You could have made amends
but it’s too late

There were times I needed you
but you wasn’t there

The End
