Nature's Song

Under a tree,

By the creek,

Wherever I sit,

I need not speak.

But I listen

To Nature's Song.

Nature's Song,

The sound of birds,

Rustle of grass,

Absence of words.

Sit and listen

To Nature's Song.

A squirrel jumps

From tree to tree.

It made a sound

That startled me.

Still I listen

To Nature's Song.

So many sounds,

So many sights,

But go ahead,

Turn out the lights.

Sit still and listen

To Nature's Song.

I look around,

And breath in deep.

I think that I

Might fall asleep.

A sense of calm

Comes over me.

I think, if only

Others could see.

And really listen

To Nature's Song.

If others could look

And see what I do,

Imagine a world

Where everything's true.

If others could know

How peaceful it is

Listening

To Nature's Song.

The End
