You Are the Moon That Breaks the Night for Which I Have to Howl

Recommend

You are not my Juliet,
And yet, you rise like the moon,
White and otherworldly, huge against the night.

My eyes are aflame. Their bittersweet chocolate,
Melts in the heat of your embrace;
Golden coins, minted in lust, they glow in the darkness.

My need for you is less than human--
More than human?  More basic,
You are my love.  You are my pack.

And also, the moon; and how you make me howl.
And I love you so, I could rip out your jugular,
And drink your blood like a wolf.

Author guidance for This poem

AmandaQuirky Your title will be a line taken from a song. Write a poem/story/anything based on that line, or on the entire song, if you know it. When you're done, slap up some more snippets of lyrics for other people, so they can write a song/sonnet/short story/etc based on a line from a song, as well. Just have fun. Go crazy.

Don't be evil, though, please. If you have to give someone a foul rating, at least tell them why.

Seriously. I'm less bothered about ratings, on this one, because it's meant to be FUN... but comments, and lots of chapters, would be swell :)

Feel free to invite your friends :-D
