I Can't Breathe With YouMature

23rd June 2011

Roses may be red
Though violets are not blue
And I can only breathe
When I spare no thoughts for you.

Through all our loving hate
Cold fire burns in our eyes
The feeling in our stomachs
No longer butterflies

And 'though you try your hardest
To act it all okay
I see in those burning eyes
We're not, you're not - that way

So through all our loving hate
Cold fire burns in our eyes
The feelings in my stomach
Were never love's butterflies

And though some roses may be red
There are no violets blue
And I fear I can only breathe
When I spare no thoughts for you.

The End
