World of Dreams

Into a half slumber I went
what a wondrous world I spied
didn't notice the discomfort
on hard bed though I lied

of the magical shapes that presented
the accompaniment of a orchestral sounds
the symphonies’ of my own making
wrapped in tranquility all around

The place at once so familiar
yet so alien the land and sky
the people were complete strangers
yet a connection I couldn't deny

I found myself so uninhibited
but away from unwelcome glares
A world of my own design
of their maker they were unaware

So I tended to my own business
and immersed into a million tales
with heroes and villains dueled
my adventures so many regaled

The End
