But their greatest gift

Ever given to mankind

Was that of their names

To four heroic testudines;

Leonardo, the courageous turtle captain

Donatello, with such majestic invention

Raphael had lacked a measure of tact

And Michelangelo had celebrated a bit too oft

But one thing they all shared, turtle and man:
