Wine Runs Dry
It's about falling in love with someone because you understand and accept them truly, rather than just looking at the superficial and all the glamour of diamonds and champagne
I fell in love for the right reasons
Never with false overblown words
Just a simple beauty to her tears
A heartening warmth to embrace me
We held on a thought of love
Roses may wilt and wine will run dry
Who can say if love will fade
Who can say if love will die
Mirrored gazes and clear skies
The silence in the air is a lullaby
I will take my chances
Because there’s much more to this than starlight
There’s so much more than music
And promising her the world
Some days we shouldn’t ask why
Or cheapen the night with diamonds
Some days the world will just peel away
And we’ll find comfort in the long silence
Mirrored gazes and clear skies
The silence in the air is a lullaby
We will reflect on this day forever
I will hold on to this day forever
