Can My Dream Be Our Memory?

light bounces off the walls

as i reach for you.

i want nothing more than to hold you,

exist with you,

just get lost in your arms,

to forget the world awhile

live in your eyes.

i want to feel the warmth of your breath

on my neck,

the beat of your heart matching  mine.

i want to listen to your breathing

getting softer,

and softer

as we

asleep in the moonlit night,

a summer dream,

just before you leave;

this is all i ask for.

one night to remember always.

the sun has gone down,

far fro m the searching depths of my eyes.

just

like

you.

gone from me,

just as i realized i could still love

just

like

you

the boy that demolished my walls,

and taught me that even the broken can trust again

just

like

you,

a dream that  can  never become a memory

The End
