whisper to me the things you want

bending, sliding, slipping

over and under your strings and cords

cracking and splitting

into tree branches and sky.

lift your arm...hand...fingers...;touch me,

return to your blanket and sleep.

Tomorrow I will wake you.

Tomorrow we will sing webs of myrrh

and kiss the earth's mouth

We will brush her lips with our toes

We will slither through her hair.

Tomorrow I will wake you.

The End
