Whirlwind
It could've been so much more beautiful
This perfection slipping through my fingers
I wake from my dream, still reeling from your touch
That day has long gone, but the feeling still lingers
I spent the night wishing
Oh how I was looking into your eyes
The winter melted by the summer of your smile
I felt reborn as I bathed in the waters
Because nothing will ever feel the same
This whirlwind a wild, unrelenting pain
Your love, unchaining me from the world
I've never felt like this before
My heart is enslaved to this girl
The morning comes, and the memories fade from view
Panic and reality washes over me, what can I do
Merely hours, spent under the stars
But my heart forever bears the scars
Because nothing will ever feel the same
This whirlwind, a wild, unrelenting pain
Your love, unchaining me from the world
I've never felt like this before
My heart is enslaved to this girl
My days they fell aside
Grabbing out at the days that flew by
Still, with the urge to fantasise
It's the only thing I can hold onto
It's all that I can do to stay alive
