Where'd it Go?Mature

Some weeks drag.

Some days zip.

Then, years, well—

Decade is gone

Where’d it go?

Under the sofa?

Behind the bed?

Wrinkles brush skin

Grey waves hello

In hair once

Rainbow colored.

Where’d it go?

Find it, quick!

It rushes past—

Did you blink?

Skin pulls down,

Bones moan out

Youth has left.

Age has settled.

Each breath brings

Time with it

Each exhale shoves

More youth out

Stretch, rise, fight

Search, beg, plead-

Unless you die,

You will age.

The End
