Torn-up Question Papers.

Here, I tried to take the idea of where I'm from a little differently.
Like, from a different perspective.

I am from a time when school
Was about learning, not grades.
Oh, how I miss those days!
How I wish I could go back,
Back to fifth grade,
And lean my back in my seat, and smile
As I listen, learning.

Now, I must hunch over my desk,
My pencil nib wearing down furiously
As I scribble out rubbish,
And nervously look towards the clock,
Trying to beat it's unforgiving hands
To the finish.
Learning how to answer
Question papers.
Learning exactly what words I need
To snatch that one mark
Away from unforgiving examiners.

The End
