When My Life Ends

I saw her again, she was precious and sweet
like my heart that fills with optimism
I wanted to ask her for a date so we could hang out
but she just smiled and walked away
I rarely see myself in the same light anymore

I took a hit at my own expense
spread kisses upon her hand
But she was uninterested, it was all for nought
I felt my veins turn black
I was to become as she was... unforgiving

I woke up in a state of anguish
saw my world wither and darken with each step
even the sun was dying
I pray I see you again
when my life ends

The End
