Welcome to the Cycle

As free children,

We are interrogated as to

What we want to be,

What we want to do,

What we want to live for.

Yet the path we have is shaped by adults.

As decorated adults,

We are harshly criticized for not doing more

With our people.

With our self.

With our love.

Yet our path is shaped by elders.

As wise elders,

We cry and mourn our choices.

Did I not?

Did I ever?

Do I really die?

Yet my path was shaped by the children,

The Beautiful children;

So full of unfettered potential.

So how could I fail?

The End
