Raining Cats and Dogs

Barking fills the moonlit air,
Meows cut through the night,
We all know its coming soon,
And hope to be alright.

The pounding shakes the very ground,
Our roof shudders with every strike,
But strong and sturdy it will stand,
Whatever the weather is like.

As the storm moves on to other lands,
I kneel by my bed to pray,
For every single cat and dog,
That fell from the sky today.

The End
