There we were
Watching the sunset
With just the two of us
You held my hand
And begged me not to leave you
You said "I love you and I treasure you.
You're everything I need.
Please do not leave me."
Tears fell from your eyes
I comforted you
And wrapped you in my shoulders
I kissed your tears goodbye
No, I didn't leave your side
And there we were again
Watching the sunset
I held your hand
I begged you not to leave me

Tears fell from my eyes
You did not comfort me
Nor wrapped me in your shoulders
Not even kissed my tears goodbye
Instead, you left me
And there was I

All alone.
