Was I Right to be Wrong?

Deserted on these lonely plains
upon a bed of dying flowers
I’m not sure of myself anymore
I heard your voice but you departed
before I could see you again
I tried my best just to hold on

I held on to the belief
that there was something more
Was I right to be wrong?

All we needed was some resolve
which would give way to clarity
it was a path out of this darkness
which you would only take alone
I was left to feel so hollow
in this shallow disintegration

I held on to the belief
that there was something more
Was I right to be wrong?

The End
