Waking up in roses

That night was the longest i ever knew
The shadows diminished all light
There was no hope, no warmth, no love
My nightmares were coming to life

3am lasted for years,
i lost myself in it's wrath
Needed a hero to comfort my fears
but the villains must have blocked his path.

It's lucky that good conquers evil
the light broke through the dark
the sun rose again and dried my tears
Nighttime left no lasting mark

I awoke surrounded by roses
things didnt seem so bad anymore
but i noticed my loved ones were crying
It came rushing back with an almighty roar

Looked down and saw i'd been bleeding
finally realised what i had done
i would never see the morning again
but at least all the pain was gone

The End
