Waiting for You
A Valentines Day poem :)
I wait for you by the sea.
I wait for you in the snow.
I wait for you in the sun.
But you have not shown your face.
I grow anxious, wondering if I have missed you.
A man in tattered rages says to me, darling, won't you be mine?
I shake my head angrily, wanting my true love to appear.
He stands by, silent.
I continue to wait.
Time passes, and I'm still waiting.
He's still waiting.
I ask him why my true love won't come to me.
I've been here all along, he replies anxiously.
My eyes are opened, my head is clear.
This is my true love.
I embrace him, and he kisses my hand.
He becomes a prince, dressed in his finery.
He is the greatest Valentine.
