The Prize of Manhattan

With what vicious hunger drives man to

Virtuous smiles

with coy, inventive scowls

all wrapped neatly in some pretty package

bow so elegantly hanging,

draped off the side

fancy patterns and loving lives

a box that sits in every house

soon to be on every table

every store in every shelf

let it run your day

and control your fate

because it can all end with a word

and a finger calmly pressed downward.

The End
