Unknown Caller

We used to walk the long road
To our haven from the fury
Of the faceless entities we grieve tonight
Our flaws were shared
And diminished suitably
In the comfort we need tonight

Yet again I collapse under my life
I repeat the patterns of regret
Even your disappointment is angelic
You could only wonder
What lies in the haze
I always took you back into clarity

Now you're just an unknown caller
We had so much and we lost it all
Now you're just an unknown caller
On your pedestal where it's easier to fall
I wont be here to catch you

We used to laugh at all the little things
That hurt us inside
Of all the irony in our lives
Now we just see it as a phase
We have others to understand
I can't believe it's all over now

The End
