The Waning Year

The Sun and the Moon,

The Moon and the Sun,

They danced and they danced,

When they were young,

The Fire and the Ice,

The Flame and the Web,

Their loved flowed freely,

But then it began to ebb,

The Sun falls down,

The Moon rises up high,

The Fire stays below,

The Ice fills the sky,

The flowers close their smiles,

The leaves shy from the cold,

But the Moon didn't care,

She's just much too old,

But her face grows older,

And Earth and Fire lie,

She gradually turns away,

And then gives up to die,

The Fire rises up again,

To face the world anew,

And the world is glad to see it,

Save, but; A few

The End
