Under The Rain

Poem mainly about emotions but using water imagery to describe it.

Looking out of the window,

I see the rain.

Small droplets falling from a huge cloud

That once bore a smile.

The rain hits the ground,

Dispersing itself into puddles of woe,

Waiting for the sun to lift it

Back into euphoria.

I see the clouds above.

Heavy with happiness,

They struggle in vain to surrender

To the burden of depression pulling down

On their carefree drifting.

The sun then appears,

Fading the puddles beneath my window

With a surge of hope,

As the turmoil of emotion starts again.

The End
