under that tell-tale sky

Sometimes "I love you"s come in normal circumstances.

You stopped in the crowd
on a Sunday afternoon
with two packs of gum
and a soda in your hand.

You were on the way
to your car on the
soggy parking lot,
under a rainy sky.

And you stopped and dropped the gum,
leaving it to the puddles,
to pull out your phone
and say, "I think I love you."

The End
