Under Different Stars

When friends don't see each other for a long time, and realise how different they have become, how distant from each other has become

Rewind to a simple past, long deceased

And surely we held a better view than now

But the colour in our eyes turns quickly to grey

How quickly fortune turns against the brave

A distant glance across a crowded street

But now I feel nothing but emptiness

In four years the road has torn us apart

Bound to live life under different stars

In four years the road has torn us apart

Born to chase away the different stars

Answers found wanting, more questions remain

It's amazing how we once felt the same

Time heals no wounds, but makes us cruel

This world can teach us nothing but pain

A distant glance across a crowded street

All I can think of is an empty void

In four years the road has torn us apart

Bound to live life under different stars

In four years the road has torn us apart

Condemned to bear the brunt and the scars

The End
