For My SonMature

When the world looks at you
I wonder what they see.
Is it as beautiful as what I do
Or do they see your imperfections too?

All I see and all I know
Is the love I have for you,
Your little fingers and tiny toes,
And that smile that makes the day brand new.

If they ever put you down
If they ever make you feel
That you are less than what you are
I hope that you will always know
That you are the shiniest of all the stars.

You are my child, and I am bias
But you are perfect in every way;
As long as you truly understand this
No one can break you with what they say.

The End
