Two Miles

Two lowly miles are what separate us in distance,
But there's more than that from your bleak insistence.

I was bulletproof at the time that you said,
You'd never want to see me again.

I guess you should know that I haven't lost hope
But I guess if I did I'd be able to cope...

Well I have this message that I think you should hear
And if you'd come closer I'd whisper it in your ear...

Except you stay far away and are so off track
But I can't help but think I can get you to come back

You don't know it but you've got me on my knees,
I wish I just had the strength and nerve to plead.

All I'd need to do is walk two miles of road,
But it's thousands of miles of emotion to decode.

The End
