Two in The Bush

Do we appreciate the wrong things?

Two in the Bush
Supposedly inferior
But in the hand
Are they appreciated?

Strive for success,
Grab hold, with both hands
Okay, you have it
But does it still sing?

It lies there, dead
No song will it make again
Magic and song traded
For what? Barbeque sauce?

The two in the bush
supposedly worth less,
sing away,  show their colours
but we don't notice

The bird in hand
is soon in mouth, then gone
Did you savour it?
Or are you already
looking for your next bird?

The End
