Twilight Fields

Perfect stardust lines the sky
I made a wish that you would awaken
and then we could watch the moonlight
dancing on the lake

Wind rushes through the branches
like the lullabies of the Gods
A chill sets in when I cry
yet my heart still shines ruby crimson

I’m always within the Twilight fields

Half asleep, my eyes drift slowly
no matter how hard I try
I can never stay awake for the sunrise
If you came, we could watch it together
We could prove them wrong

You’re never within the Twilight Fields

Soothe the fears I could never slay
Kiss me so I have a reason to be awake
Hold me when the rain begins to fall
I would do anything for you
if only you wanted to

I’ll always be within the Twilight Fields

The End
