Truth Of My Masquerade

I am the joker,
the dreamer,
the liar.

They will not question,
and I will not answer.

Not one of them doubts me,
and they know better than to.

I will be better,
I am the stronger,
I am the wiser,
and I will be best.

They all do expect
for me to stay covered.
To see through my mask,
is to see into never.

But you…
You see what I see.
You see what I want.
You see what I am,
and call me a liar.

But would you be surprised
if I had to say,
“Lie for me please. For, I am no more.” ?

The End
