Hopes of a Destiny

Looking back,

I see,

A darkness,

Behind me.

Wishing that,

I could,

Change the past,

For me and you.

Yet here we are,

With no idea,

Of what to say.

Scars burning,

I know,

That someday,

You'll let go.

Is a deliverance,

But a lie.

Before you,

I stand,

But worlds away,

I really am.

Knowing that,

You won't change,

Looking back again,

On who I'd been.

Time we can't control,

But destiny is ours,

So will you take my hand,

And lead me to the one we'll share?

The End
