Trepidation

Trepidation

You sneak up on me in black cloak and hood
Then you strangle me like de salvo would
Leaving me lying in the rain and the mud
You've mastered your sinister craft so good

You stalk me like a fan that's obsessed
Threw the city streets where pigeons infest
And the autumn wood where the trees undress
Such a steadfast kind you refuse to rest

You’re a sniper on the roof of the tower block
Until you've killed me it seems you won't stop
You work like a dog around the clock
You’re a crass Gremlin who loves to mock

You have taken control like a corrupt king
You’re inside my skull and you’re under my skin
You’re an extra organ you’re an extra limb
You’re a deadly rival who always seems to win

The End
