Treasure

Carpe diem 'seize the day'

Sand flows constantly through the hourglass,

No grain gets a second chance.

Each one unique and precious,

Unaware of its value.

These gems live for but a moment,

Then they are gone.

Insignificant yet significant,

We treasure each one.

The sand to come is oft thought of,

What to spend it on, where to go.

These grains pass by so quickly,

Soon to disappear.

Treasure them, hold them dear,

Remember the adventure.

One day all the sand will be spent.

What will remain?

The End
