Trapped in a Skinner Box

Short poem which is nominally about operant conditioning.

I wont press the button,

Reward center electrodes ache,

I wont press the button,

Yes bars in brain, bars in cage,

But bars in mind restrict.

I wont press the button,

You don't reward every time,

I wont press the button,

I wait for the sure thing,

If I press, I beg, and beg again,

You'll make me beg all night.

I wont press the button.

You are not in control.
