To Build a Home

Home is not a place.
It's what you feel, and who you feel it with.

If you feel unwanted and alone, 
you are not home.
If you feel the need to drink, 
to feel the burn in your throat to forget your worries, 
you are not home.
If you feel unmotivated and uninspired by your surroundings,
you are not home.

When they say "There's no place like home," they're not talking about the house and family you were born under.  Unless, of course, you feel love and happiness and comfort and security there.  
But if you don't…
you are not home.

Home is where your passion and true self are safe to shine without the ridicule and disapproval of others.
Are you home?

Home, physical or otherwise, is found by leaving behind the places that aren't.  The people who aren't.  The feelings that aren't.
