Time To Sleep

Hard to sleep? Can you relate?

Time to Sleep

When it's time to sleep,
The sky is clearest,
The faint light is apparent,
Even dark forms outlined.

When it's time to sleep,
The cats hiss,
The fan buzzes,
The bed rustles.

When it's time to sleep,
Inside the cover is summer,
Outside is a tundra,
Without it, mosquitoes.

When it's time to sleep,
The body aches,
But the eyes are wide,
The mind races.

And when you wake up,
The energy that is left,
Makes a craving so deep,
For nothing but sleep.

The End
