Plunge Into The Deep

Like a mermaid trapped on shore

Like a child behind closed doors

Like a girl who wanted more

Out of this life

Desperate to know what's in store

Deja vu, been here before

But I cannot quench

The need to just

Like fireworks in July

Like those sparks high in the sky

It burns me, scalds me

This fiery desire

And I stand amidst it all

Trampled on, down in a fall

Never have I feel so small

Like nothingness

Yet simultaneously

It’s like breathing in vacuumed space

Suffocating day by day

Forever stuck inside this place

In the mechanical wheel of time

The muted production line

Of human life

And I just want to

Plunge into the deep

And breathe once again

The End
