This Love Thing

If I could feel these tears, coming down my face

Or your soothing hands, gently sliding down my waist

Why can't I feel this warm love soothing my heart

If I could feel this scotch whiskey, going down my throat

Or that high from that potent spliff, burning my lungs out with a single kick

Why can't I feel this intoxicative love burn in my heart

If I could see that sadness, weighing down on your face

Or that joy in your smile, highlighting the true intentions of happy moments

Why can't I see this exciting love when I look in your eyes

If I could see all those colors of the rainbow, after a raging storm has passed

Or  my reflection in your eyes, mesmerizing me with that shine

Why can't I see this glittering love when it's in the air

The End
