I was hopeless, and didn’t ask for help

I needed you, yet I left you in the darkness

I was confused

I didn’t know the answer

I was trapped

Stuck in a hole, that I couldn’t climb out of

I was scared

Scared to talk to you

Scared to tell you

Scared to know your reaction

Scared to hurt you

This is just to say…

I was angry

I was upset

But I wasn’t justified

I was in the wrong

This is just to say…

I hurt you more, from hiding

I hurt you more, from lying

I hurt you more, from pretending

This is just to say…

I still don’t know the answer

That I’m still confused

Still scared

Still angry

Still upset

I’m finding my way

Because of you…
