The shutter snaps,
another bird in flight captured,
another moon frozen in the
color banks of my third eye-

The sun glints shining
as the flash draws
a small flower fighting
to push through it’s concrete
cage.

Smiling faces shining bright like new pennies beaming on a child’s palm-

clouds kept still, no longer in their imperceivable motions-

A birthday, child screaming, tears running, mother’s tired eyes
