Things Do Get Better

Things Do Get Better

Tormented and harassed,
Beat and punished,
All of these are soon to be
The past.
Look ahead,
From this mess,
You’re better
Than the rest.
Hurtful names,
Sinful threats,
They don’t see
That you’re the best.
Broken promises,
Wasted tears,
All left
In the high school years.
Rumors and lies,
Spread around the school,
All are meant
To weaken you.
But lucky for you,
You’re strong like nails,
And you know,
That life won’t fail.
You have purpose,
Life isn’t just hell.
One day is soon,
And all will be well.
Even though today,
Is a bloody battle,
It doesn’t matter.
The past can’t hold back,
What the future holds,
Unless you let it,
So don’t be told,
That you’re not good enough,
Because I know you are.
And you are stronger,
By far.

The End
