Were Are Kids

We were kids,

Thinking beautiful dreams,

Yet would we be happy?

Life together forever,

Seemed like paradise.

We were friends,

Just having fun,

Sucking helium,

Laughing at our voices,

While our hearts turned numb,

Didn't know our future struggles we'd have to overcome.

I tried love,

But I realize that I was wrong,

I can't love you more than what I truly want.

I tried joy,

but plans deployed,

Being someone else is what I've become.

We were siblings,

Always fighting,

Playing around,

No pressure of earth's ground.

I loved it more than anything.

A brother to keep me sound.

The End
