magnum opus

I never wanted to be a poet

I thought it boring, and wouldn't you know it

But I would rather write stories of glory

Life and death, conquests gory

It was only when I tried

And began to realize

That it took so much time

It was quicker to rhyme

Than to iron away at a plot-

Chapters of pages

Development stages

And tying timelines in a knot.

So I put down my keyboard and picked up a pen

And wouldn't you know it, tried not to show it

I became a poet again.

The End
