Then and Now

These days after a child is born
What will his first words ever be?
Will he ever call for his parents?
or learn to converse electronically

The pace of life so maddening
Who has the time for such niceties
All relations a thing of the past
Now love just isn't a priority

The benefits of extended life expectancy
have sown the path to loneliness
Decades will pass by the time they realize
the simple comforts of human touch

The End
